Betsie Poinsett is a Certified Hypnotherapist, C Ht, ID #AL011869 who graduated in 1988 from The Hypnosis Motivation Institute after completing over 600 hours of clinical residency education and practical experience which was supervised by Physicians, Psychologists, Marriage & Family Therapists and Clinical Hypnotherapists. She continually updates her training and recently became a Certified Specialist – Hypnosis for Anxieties and Fears, a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Specialist, and a Past-Life Regression Therapist through The American Hypnosis Association.
She became an Adept in Shamanism from the Institute of Shamanic Synthesis in Santa Fe, NM, studying under Shaman Amari Magdalena, who was a student of Don Miguel Ruiz author of the best selling book: The Four Agreements. Studying the works of John Randolph Price, founder of the Quartus Foundation and spending three years studying The Course in Miracles augmented her education. She incorporated this knowledge by becoming an Ordained Minister in the Universal Brotherhood Movement and in 2004 was awarded the degree of Doctor of Divinity (D Div). In 2015, Betsie’s became a Reiki Master.
In 2001, she was the Talent Coordinator and Personal Assistant for The Wisdom Channel show “Living In Balance with Georgia Shakti-Hill.” Traveling to Mt. Shasta, CA, New Mexico, North Carolina and North Georgia filming a series called “An Adventure for the Spirit.”
I am a trained professional in the field of hypnotherapy, holding a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the nationally accredited Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI). I began my studies in November 1986 and graduated in July 1988, having completed 720 hours of comprehensive training over the course of a year.
In addition to my foundational education, I have engaged in ongoing professional development through the American Hypnosis Association (AHA), including the Dr. Kappas Atlanta Series in April 2012 and a course on delivering dynamic hypnosis speeches in January 2012.
I have achieved several certifications from the AHA, reflecting my broad expertise in various hypnotherapy domains. These include Healing the Inner Child (March 2017), Hypnosis and PTSD (July 2013), Hypnosis and Seniors (July 2015), Hypnosis and Tinnitus (August 2018), Past-Life Regression Therapist (April 2012). In addition to my hypnotherapy credentials, I attained the Master Level in the Reiki Method of Natural Healing in October 2015, further enhancing my ability to assist clients in their healing journey.
My contributions to the healthcare field have been recognized with the award of Montclair Who’s Who in Healthcare by Montclair Publishing in November 2007.
Since 1988, I have been a proud member of professional organizations such as the Hypnotherapists Union Local 472 and the American Hypnosis Association, reflecting my commitment to professional growth and adherence to the highest standards of practice in hypnotherapy.
